The source agency noted that MTS and the Government of Uzbekistan currently agreed the terms of the deals.

The company will sell its 50.01% stake in the Uzbek venture to local partners for “a symbolic price” and the deal is expected to close by the end of August, Interfax reported.

It is expected that UMS assets can be transferred to national mobile communication operator of Uzbekistan, UZMOBILE (branch of Uzbektelecom).
