MTS Bank Now chatbot speaks Uzbek, Tajik and Kyrgyz

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- MTS-Bank PJSC and the TalkBank fintech platform implemented the MTS for Foreign Citizens project, within the framework of which a special bank chat bot was created in the Telegram MTS Bank Now messenger for citizens from the CIS countries arriving in Russia. The chatbot is available in Russian, Uzbek, Tajik and Kyrgyz.

Upon arrival in Russia, foreign citizens can receive an MTS Cashback debit card and a SIM card from the MTS mobile operator at points of sale, together with which customers receive a unique QR code to access the chat bot in the Telegram messenger.

After authorization in the chatbot, the client receives a notification about the successful activation of the plastic card. Transfers and standard card management functionality are available in the chatbot (transfers within Russia to cards of any banks in the Russian Federation, CVV code recovery, PIN code change, card blocking and unblocking, generation of a statement and a list of completed transactions for a period, display of balance and card details ). In the near future, it is planned to implement even more functionality in the Telegram chat bot. Foreign citizens will be able to make transfers abroad and arrange insurance products in the chat bot in Telegram.

The services of MTS Bank and Talkbank, on which the MTS Bank Now chat bot is based, comply with the high PCI DSS security standard.

The security of customer transactions using MTS Bank Now in messengers is provided by analogy with banking applications using a simple electronic signature (SES) in the form of an SMS code sent to the user’s phone specified as the main one in the identification process. Biometric data and anti-fraud systems provide additional protection and exclusion of unauthorized use. Confidentiality and protection of accounts from unauthorized access is provided by the security policy of the messengers themselves.

“A bank for non-residents is the most important step in providing millions of people in our country with access to normal financial services, the ability to communicate in their native language, resolve issues online without obligatory visits to bank branches and difficulties with explanations with managers. All this can be removed with the help of a fully robotic bank in the messenger,” commented Mikhail Popov, CEO of the TalkBank fintech platform.

Previously, MTS Bank implemented a service for its customers from the CIS countries for telephone support in national languages. The service is available in Uzbek, Tajik and Kyrgyz languages via IVR.
