MPs, representatives of the ministries and departments, Off-budget Pension Fund under the Ministry of Finance, NGOs and others participated at the event.

The participants of the seminar noted that regional divisions of the Off-budget Pension Fund under the Ministry of Finance were created in the regions, which also includes medical-social expertise commissions.

The participants underlined that it is necessary to improve legal base for operation of medical-social labour expertise services to protect interest of people with disabilities.

It was noted that it is necessary to carry out work on exploitation of the law “On state pension provision of the citizens” and corresponding legislative acts.

The participants also considered actual issues on further improving legislative base on the state pension provision of the citizens and activities of medical-consulting services based on international experience. The participants underlined that it is necessary to improve legislation in this sphere and determination of the level of disability of the people. It was said that new technologies should be used in treatment and rehabilitation of people with disabilities.

At the end of the seminar, the participants adopted recommendations directed at further improving work in this sphere.
