MPs underlined that Uzbekistan achieved high economic growth in the first half of 2011 and growth in industry, agriculture, retail trade and services. It was said the gross domestic product of Uzbekistan grew by 8% in January-June 2011. The state budget was executed with surplus.

Over 520,200 jobs were created in Uzbekistan in the first six months of 2011, of which 352,600 or 68% were created in rural area.

It was said that 59% of the State Budget expenses were directed to financing social sector, including healthcare and education.

During the discussion, MPs underlined that there are some issues, which should be improved. It was said that there are large volume of arrears on budget payments. It was stated that attention should be directed to targeted use of the state budget resources.

After discussion of the State Budget execution, the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan approved the report on the State Budget execution in the first half of 2011 and adopted a corresponding resolution.
