Movie about Avicenna shot in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Abu Ali ibn Sina (Avicenna) International Association of Traditional Medicine (IATM) and Yoshlar TV and Radio Channel shot a movie titled "Ibn Sina".

The movie tells about the life of the great scientist, recognized worldwide as the founder of modern medicine.

Author of the movie is Gulnara Karimova and she managed to fit in the fascinating biographical story in a half-hour movie format. The events in the movie occur against the background of historical Middle Ages, then take us to the present, showing a strong link between the past and the present.

The film describes scenes from different stages of scientist’s life: his childhood - full of thirst for knowledge, his youth - full of joy, the first steps towards science, and finally, wise maturity.

The documentary shows frames of his manuscripts and drawings, colorful oriental cities: ancient Bukhara, where he spent his whole life, hot Hamadan - city in Iran, where Avicenna’s mausoleum is, and modern cities, where monuments and scientific institutions named in his honor exist.
