Monograph about Chingis Ahmarov presented in Uzbek capital
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Presentation of monograph about Chingis Ahmarov was held in Tashkent’s Center of national art on 23 December 2010. Fund Forum, Association of Painters, Arts Critic and People’s Masters IJOD organized the event.

The presentation was dedicated to publishing of fundamental publication of work of Chingiz Ahmarov (1912-1995), one of bright masters of Uzbekistan’s art in the 20th century. Monograph is rich for images and for the first time provides catalogue of works, as well as materials and images from personal collection, which earlier were unknown.

New monograph about Chingiz Ahmarov allows readers to familiarize with world of Ahmarov, his views and values. The book was prepared at the support of famous Moscow publisher Ildar Galeev in cooperation with arts critic Nigora Ahmedova.

Painter Chingiz Ahmarov holds one of leading places in art of Uzbekistan. The exhibition “Known and unknown Chingiz Ahmarov” was held in Tashkent in 2008 and it was dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the painter. During the exhibition, the memoirs of Chingiz Ahmarov “On the way to the beauty” were held. The memoirs were prepared to publication by Fund Forum and Center of National Art.

Paintings of Ahmarov are staged in many museums of the world and private collections. He also pained many buildings like Oriental Studies Institute, Alisher Navoi station in Tashkent underground, Bolshoy Theatre named after Alisher Navoi, Memorial complex of Mirza Ulugbek in Samarkand and others.
