Money transfers turnover between Uzbekistan and Russia increased by 45.35% in 1Q
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Total volume of money transfers between Uzbekistan and Russian grew by 45.35% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2011.

According to the Russian Central Bank, the volume of money transfers between two states made up US$625 million in the first quarter of 2011 compared to US$430 million in January-March 2010.

The volume of remittances from Russia to Uzbekistan grew by 46.74% year-on-year from US$383 million to US$562 million. Average remittance sum from Russia to Uzbekistan jumped from US$500 in the first quarter of 2010 to US$511 in the same period of 2011.

The Russian bank said that the remittances volume from Uzbekistan to Russia reached US$62 million in January-March 2011 against US$46 million in the same period of 2010, and the average remittance sum – from US$1,192 to US$1,406.

Uzbekistan leads on the volume of transactions among the CIS states in the reporting period. Tajikistan and Ukraine followed Uzbekistan. Tajikistan and Ukraine received remittances for US$438 million and US$430 million respectively in the reporting period.

The Central Bank of Russia monitors such money transfer systems as Anelik, BLIZKO, Coinstar Money Transfer, Contact, InterExpress, Migom, MoneyGram, PrivatMoney, UNIStream, Western Union, Aziya Express, ALLYUR, Blitz, Bystraya Pochta, Zolotaya Korona and LIDER, as well as Pochta Rossii.
