Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The number of subscribers of mobile operator Mobiuz has exceeded 8 million, according to the press service of Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Digital Technologies.

Since the beginning of 2025, Mobiuz specialists have commissioned more than 3,600 base stations, enabling modern and stable mobile connectivity in over a thousand new locations across the country — from cities and district centers to remote rural areas.

Significant progress has been achieved through the SWAP project, which focuses on large-scale network infrastructure upgrades in western regions of the country. In particular, during the first half of 2025, 379 base stations were upgraded in the Republic of Karakalpakstan and 468 in the Khorezm region. These improvements have substantially enhanced connection quality and internet speed for millions of users in the area.

According to the company, Mobiuz subscribers consume an average of 122.7 terabytes of mobile internet per hour — enough data to download more than 26 million music tracks in just 60 minutes. These figures reflect the deep integration of digital services into the everyday lives of citizens.

More than 94% of internet traffic flows through the 4G LTE network, while data usage over 5G connections has more than doubled compared to December 2024. Users are actively exploring the new capabilities enabled by next-generation mobile technologies.

To ensure signal reliability and network stability across regions, Mobiuz is carrying out large-scale upgrades of its technical infrastructure. In 2025 alone, over 674 microwave relay lines have been modernized, and more than 134 kilometers of new fiber-optic communication lines laid.

The company is also actively developing its digital ecosystem. Today, over 2 million people regularly use not only Mobiuz’s mobile services but also its digital platforms, including the mobile app, MobiCinema, MobiMusic, and MobiGames.

The steady growth in user numbers is closely linked to the company’s expanding technological capabilities and increasing public trust in the Mobiuz brand.
