Mobile operators to invest US$112.43m to their network
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Mobile communication operators of Uzbekistan are planning to invest US$112.43 million to development of their networks.

According to the investment programme for 2013, Unitel LLC, a trademark of Beeline and subsidiary of Russia’s Vimpelcom Ltd, is planning to direct US$59.4 million to expand mobile communication network.

The realization of the project will help to increase network capacity up to 11.2 million subscribers.

Coscom, Ucell trademark and owned by Swedish-Finnish Group TeliaSonera, will direct US$53.03 million in 2014 to technical and technological development of GSM network.

In line with the investment programme for 2013, Beeline planned to invest US$28 million and Ucell – US$20 million.

According to Beeline, its capital expenses grew by 68% in January-September and reached US$159 million.

President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov with his resolution approved an investment programme for 2014.

According to the programme, Uzbekistan plans to use investments for US$3.883 billion within 166 investment projects.
