Mobile operators of Uzbekistan can move to 8-digit numbers
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Mobile communication operators can move from seven to eight digit numbers in summer, director-general of Unitel (subsidiary of Vimpelcom Ltd in Uzbekistan, Beeline trademark) Alexander Vorobyev said.

Alexander Vorobyev said that the programme of transfer to eight digit number will be launched in the middle of 2014.

He underlined that the company pins hopes to eight digit number capacities as Beeline and other operators faced problems with allocation of new number capacities in 2013.

Launch of eight digit number capacities, the operator hopes to receive new numbers and subscribe new clients, he said. He said that currently utilization of number capacities in Uzbekistan makes up almost 100%.

Earlier, the operator said that the utilization of number capacities reached 90% in the end of 2013 and in some regions of Uzbekistan the figure makes up 99%, which makes difficult to improve quality of services and develop network.
