Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, on 25 September, as part of the ICTWEEK 2019 Information and Communication Technology Week, mobile communications was launched in metro stations of the Square of Amir Timur and Mustakillik Square (Chilanzar line of the Tashkent metro).

This project was implemented jointly with the Unitary Enterprise “Toshkent Metropoliteni”, TM “Metrotelecom” and the company LLC “Coscom” (trademark “Ucell”).

Communications work is carried out so far in test mode, however, as the organizers of this project noted, this is already a historical and certainly important element of the modern metro with wide Internet access.

The implementation of this direction is primarily aimed at a common cause in increasing the tourist attractiveness of our capital, as well as increasing the quality of services for residents and guests of Tashkent.
