Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan will create Ministry of Transport. President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting on 28 August 2018 on improving management in the field of road transport, expanding the scale of transport services.

During the meeting, it was noted that the Uzbek Agency for Automobile Transport has not yet established the implementation of integrated state policy on development of transport sector. Therefore, it is necessary to organize a state body that will coordinate activities and implement a unified state policy in the sphere of road, rail and air transport, metro and river transport.

Uzbek President instructed responsible persons to introduce proposals on organization of the Ministry of Transport.
