Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A charity event “Operation Smile” has begun in Uzbekistan, within the framework of which medical examinations are carried out and children with congenital clefts of the lip and palate are selected for free operations.

The leading surgeon of this initiative was the world famous doctor Hasan Baiev, who arrived in Uzbekistan. He performed free operations on about 2,000 children in different countries.

At the National Children’s Medical Center in the capital of Uzbekistan, a meeting was held with the parents of patients, in which the Minister of Health Amrillo Inoyatov, Dr. Khasan Baiev and the center’s management took part.

It was noted that every child will receive the necessary attention and consultation, and those who need operations will be provided with high-tech surgical interventions.

After this, Khasan Baiev began medical examinations, for which patients of different ages from all regions of the country came.

This is the first stage of selection, and at the next visit a final list of children who will undergo surgery will be compiled.

It is important to note that the operations will be carried out with the participation of local specialists, which contributes to their professional growth and mastery of new treatment methods.
