Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan reported that malfunctions were observed in the electricity billing system.
It was noted that consumers saw more funds reflected in their balance than actually existed. On social media, it was mentioned that when a payment of 10,000 soums was made, the user’s balance showed 20,000 soums.
The ministry clarified that due to a technical malfunction in the payment systems, an inflated amount was displayed on the customer’s balance when making a payment.
The agency assured that payments for electricity through the billing system are currently being processed without errors, and the balances are being accurately formed.
The ministry emphasized that the issues will be resolved as quickly as possible.
The ministry recommended that consumers obtain accurate and correct information about their electricity bill statements on the official website of JSC "Regional Electric Networks" through the "Personal Account" feature.
