Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In order to stabilize gasoline prices in the autumn-winter period, on 12 December 2022, a special resolution of the President was adopted, which introduces a number of measures from 10 December 2022 to 1 March 2023.

In particular, during this period, a zero excise tax rate is applied to AI-80 gasoline imported, produced by domestic enterprises and sold by business entities to end consumers.

This will make it possible to have stable prices for gasoline during the specified period. There is no shortage of gasoline in the country, there is a stable supply of it, deliveries have been established, and the envisaged volume of imports is running smoothly. However, there were cases when unscrupulous entrepreneurs, taking advantage of the situation of falling temperatures, unreasonably increased the price of gasoline sold at filling stations.

It must be remembered that, being a socially oriented state, Uzbekistan will not allow people to profit from the fears of the people and create a situation of artificial scarcity. This ruling is a serious deterrent for those who are trying to cash in on rumors and gossip.

The Ministry of Energy also reminds car owners that it is illegal to buy gasoline in reserve and store it in unsuitable conditions, as it threatens the health and life of not only your family members, but also other people living nearby. Gasoline can only be stored at facilities specially equipped for this purpose, such as gas stations, terminals, etc. Do not endanger the lives of your loved ones and those around you.

The situation of supplying the population with gasoline is under the control of the country’s leadership. In cases of detection of illegal storage of gasoline, fines and other measures provided for by law will be applied.
