Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Minister of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan Sherzod Shermatov held a meeting with the director of the South Korean company KOMSCO, Sung Chang Hoon.
During the meeting, the KOMSCO director praised the rapid development of the IT sector in Uzbekistan. The guests presented Korea's mobile national ID platform, detailing its advantages, structure, and implementation history in Korea.
Sherzod Shermatov expressed the readiness of the Unified Integrator – UZINFOCOM to cooperate on this project. The parties discussed the potential for long-term collaboration on several other projects.
Minister Shermatov also spoke about the ministry's plans and prospects for the coming years, emphasizing that one of the main goals is to create high-paying jobs for young professionals.
Sung Chang Hoon highlighted the importance of Uzbekistan as a partner for KOMSCO.
The guests were shown a presentation on digitalization efforts in Uzbekistan, conditions for residents of IT Park Uzbekistan, and tax benefits. They also visited UZINFOCOM and familiarized themselves with its projects.
At the end of the meeting, a memorandum of cooperation was signed to establish joint collaboration.
