Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In Beijing, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Transport, Ilkhom Makhkamov, held a meeting with Wu Fulin, Chairman of the Export-Import Bank of China.

During the meeting, the parties discussed plans for the development of Uzbekistan’s transport infrastructure and prospective projects for establishing international transport and transit corridors.

Mr. Wu Fulin highly praised the agreement signed on June 6 regarding the construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway. He noted that this project would enhance the transit potential of the entire region and serve as a significant bridge between Europe and Asia.

"After the financing terms are agreed upon, the Export-Import Bank of China is fully prepared to cooperate on providing financial support for the implementation of this project," stated Wu Fulin.
