Minister of Transport meets ADB representatives to discuss infrastructure projects
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s Minister of Transport, Ilkhom Makhkamov, held a meeting with representatives of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), led by Mirzo-Iskandar Gulyamov, the operational head of ADB’s Uzbekistan office.
The parties discussed the current state of joint projects, including the construction and modernization of regional roads, initiatives to promote gender equality in public transport, and the development of an e-mobility program in Tashkent.
They also reviewed a portfolio of prospective projects planned through 2026. The minister expressed interest in ADB’s participation in equipping regional roads with modern infrastructure, such as road signs, barriers, indicators, and other essential elements.
