Minister of Justice of Uzbekistan holds a number of meetings with representatives of the UAE

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation of Uzbekistan led by Minister of Justice Akbar Tashkulov held a series of negotiations with representatives of the United Arab Emirates.

In particular, the Minister of Justice of Uzbekistan Akbar Tashkulov held a meeting with the management of SEDCO. Founded in 1983, SEDCO specializes in technology innovation, government service delivery, queue management, customer sentiment analytics and self-service tools, and software development for government agencies, the private sector and banks.

At the meeting, company representatives demonstrated interactive information kiosks that allow them to independently use government services and software for their management. These kiosks provide citizens with the opportunity to receive relevant government services without having to visit Public Service Centers (PSCs) and wait in queues.

It is planned that 100 types of the most popular government services will be brought closer to the population by installing information kiosks in remote areas and neighborhoods located far from district and city centers. To use services through kiosks, citizens will not need any documents, since identification will be carried out using Face ID technology. After identifying and selecting a service, payment can be made online through mobile applications or by entering a plastic card number, after which it will be possible to print the corresponding document.

A bilateral meeting was also held between the Minister of Justice Akbar Tashkulov and the UAE Minister of State and Secretary General of the Cabinet of Ministers Maryam bint Ahmed Al Hammadi. The parties discussed the necessary mechanisms, regulatory tools and new initiatives to create a high-quality legal framework for implementing reforms and ensuring the proper functioning of laws.

Ms. Al Hammadi shared her 20 years of experience in strategic planning, improving the performance of government institutions and developing results-based evaluation mechanisms. She also presented a KPI system for ensuring the execution of legislative documents, as well as projects for the introduction of artificial intelligence into the processes of lawmaking and law enforcement.

Akbar Tashkulov spoke about the activities of the Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan related to the creation of norms, maintaining a register of functions of government bodies and making proposals to the Government on the abolition of duplicative and non-functional functions.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to provide expert support and organize working visits of experts to familiarize themselves with the activities of the UAE Ministry of Government Affairs in these areas and exchange experience.
