Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 5 February, negotiations took place between the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov and the President of the Turkic Investment Fund Baghdad Amreev.

A high assessment of the dynamics of development of Uzbekistan’s multifaceted relations with Turkic countries and the general intensification of interaction in the region were discussed.

The parties expressed satisfaction with the successful completion of internal procedures for the approval of the Agreement on the establishment of the Turkic Investment Fund. Investment opportunities for the development of trade and the implementation of joint projects between the participating countries, as well as organizational measures for holding the upcoming inaugural meeting and the founding meeting of the Board of Governors of the Fund’s member countries were also discussed.

In addition, issues of expanding trade relations, joint development and implementation of investment projects and initiatives were discussed.
