Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 16 March, Minister for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications Sherzod Shermatov held an online meeting with Tik Tok Vice President Theo Bertram.

Also, the meeting was attended by responsible persons of the State Inspectorate for Control in the Sphere of Informatization and Telecommunications of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the State Center for Personalization.

As noted at the meeting, today Tik Tok is implementing large-scale projects in many countries of the world. Representatives of the company expressed their readiness to implement similar projects in Uzbekistan.

Also, during the meeting, issues of ensuring the security of personal information of platform users in Uzbekistan and the implementation of the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan were discussed.

Representatives of the company also expressed their readiness to work together to prevent the dissemination of materials that contradict the laws of Uzbekistan.

At the same time, in order to expand mutually beneficial cooperation, the Ministry of ICT put forward proposals to company representatives to open their representative offices in Uzbekistan.

During the conversation, an exchange of views took place on issues of interest.
