Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 18 July 2024, a ceremonial event was held in the Parkent district of Tashkent region to mark the commencement of construction for the Syurenata mining complex.

The event was attended by officials from the Ministry of Mining and Geology, the Tashkent region administration, district officials, and the director of Limaomaoli Metal Company.

The launch of the Syurenata complex will enable the production of 2.4 million tons of ore annually, with a capacity of 1 million tons of iron ore concentrate per year.

The iron ore mining project is expected to attract an investment of US$50 million and will ultimately create 400-500 new jobs.
