Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Recently, a working group headed by Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade (MIIT) Olimkhon Rustamov visited an agricultural machinery cluster located in the city of Chirchik, Tashkent region, where they studied established production processes and got acquainted with the prospects for the development of enterprises.

During the visit, the cluster management reported on the results achieved to date. So, at present, 1.5 thousand new jobs have been created in 10 production workshops of the enterprise. The plant has 27 dealerships, 72 spare parts stores, 24 service stations, 110 passenger cars and 13 truck service stations.

As it was announced, the production uses components from the world’s leading manufacturers of large-sized agricultural machinery: John Deere (USA), CLAAS (Germany), ZOOMLION and DONG FENG (PRC). At the same time, the enterprise is consistently implementing measures to localize equipment and spare parts for the production of machinery. Today, the degree of localization of products is 50 percent.

The company exports products to neighboring countries - Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, and Azerbaijan.

In order to expand industrial cooperation, it is planned to establish a SKD assembly of agricultural machinery in the Republics of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan. Negotiations with partners have already reached the final stage.

As a result of the visit, the responsible managers were assigned the tasks of providing comprehensive support measures for the enterprise in order to strictly fulfill the planned tasks in terms of production volumes, export deliveries, and intensify measures to further expand the localization of production.

The cluster was formed on the basis of Chirchik Plant of Agricultural Machinery JSC and strengthened due to the partial transfer of production capacities of Tashkent Agricultural Machinery Plant JSC, Aggregate Plant JSC, Tekhnolog JSC, Tekhnolog-Stan LLC and Agroprommashinvest LLC. Thus, in January of this year, a single project was launched on an area of 15.5 hectares - a cluster of Tashkent Tractor Plant LLC worth US$65 million. The annual production capacity of the enterprise is 15,000 units of agricultural machinery, the total cost of manufactured products is US$165 million.
