Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – Prices for methane in Uzbekistan may rise. This was stated by Rasul Kusherbayev, Advisor to the Minister of Ecology of Uzbekistan, on his Telegram channel.
According to Kusherbayev, the current cap on retail prices for methane, set at 3,750 soums per cubic meter, will expire on 1 August 2024.
Kusherbayev noted that prices for methane could increase after this deadline.
Previously, the Uzbek government established a maximum retail price for methane sold at CNG stations. Initially, this price was set to expire on 1 June, but on 27 May, it was decided to extend it until 1 August. At that time, the price was raised to 3,750 soums.
