Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In Tashkent, a fire broke out in a Mercedes-Benz bus of route 96. The fire broke out on 21 May at about 16:40 at a bus stop near the Ashgabat park on Makhtumkuli Street.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan, two fire and rescue crews extinguished the fire. No one was injured as a result of the fire.

Toshshahartranskhizmat reported that the Mercedes-Benz bus was manufactured in 2012 and has traveled 882,589 km.

According to preliminary data, the fire was caused by a short circuit, due to which the electrical wiring caught fire.

Toshshahartranskhizmat notes that the driver tried to put out the fire with a fire extinguisher, but he did not succeed due to the strength of the flame. "Toshshahartranskhizmat" noted that the bus was completely burned down.
