Men’s Team Defeats Croatia, Women’s Team Wins Against Hungary

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbek chess players have performed impressively in the third round of the FIDE Chess Olympiad in Budapest.

The men’s team secured a victory against Croatia with a score of 3.5-0.5. Nodirbek Abdusattorov, Shamsiddin Vokhidov, and Javokhir Sindarov won their games, while Nodirbek Yakubboev drew his match.

The women’s team also triumphed over the Hungarian team with a score of 2.5-1.5. The team’s victory was ensured by Afruza Hamdamova and Umida Omnova. Marzhona Malikova drew her game, while Nilufar Yakubboeva lost to her opponent.

The FIDE Chess Olympiad, organized by FIDE, is being held in Budapest from September 10 to 23, 2024. The tournament features both open and women’s competitions.
