Mehr Nuri Foundation to award winners of its grant programmes
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Winners of the programmes “Grants for development of family business activities” and “Grants for development of small and medium entrepreneurship and farming” will be awarded at the Center for National Art in Tashkent on 6 December 2012.

Author of the project and chairperson of Public Council of Mehr Nuri Foundation Gulnara Karimova will award the winners of two programmes.

Mehr Nuri Foundation has been organizing these two programmes since 2005. The event will also include awarding ceremony of the Year of Woman, organized by Women’s Council.

Annual programme for businesswomen “Grants for development of family business activities” is directed at assisting women, who want to develop their own business. Women, who want to launch their own business, participate in the programme.

The projects, which are directed at development of family and outwork businesses, have preferences. Fifteen projects, which highly rated by jury, will receive 1.5 million soums. Overall, 22.5 million soums were issued in 2012.

The programme “Grants for development of small and medium entrepreneurship and farming” annually issues loans for farming, development of poultry and cattle-breeding, food production, textile, etc. Fifteen winners will receive grants for 2.5 million soums each. Some 37.5 million soums were issued in 2012.

This year, the programme “Grants for development of family business activities accepted 476 applications and the programme “Grants for development of small and medium entrepreneurship and farming” – 448 applications.

Mehr Nuri Foundation in cooperation with jury organized master-classes, conferences, trainings and seminars for businesses and farmers. Over 3,000 people participated in these master classes.
