Mehr Nuri Foundation holds charity campaign “Iftorlik”
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Mehr Nuri Foundation is holding wide-scale charity event “Iftorlik” (Iftar) from 8 to 19 August 2011, during holly Ramadan month.

The foundation said that it will organize Iftar, the evening meal when Muslims break their fast during the Islamic month of Ramadan, in all regional centers of Uzbekistan. The campaign participants will be vulnerable layers of population, family with many children, veterans and pensioners, and others.

Mehr Nuri Foundation recalled that it has been organizing similar events since 2005, which were attended by over 100,000 people.

During these days, it is also planned to hold master classes with potential participants of the programme “Grants for developing small and medium business and farming”. National contest within the programme will be announced in October-November 2011.

Master classes will be directed at rules of writing projects, terms of applying to competition, effective use of grant resources, etc.

Any interested persons, working with production of foodstuff, textile and other products, farming, can participate in the contest.

In five years, some 1,677 people applied to the progreamme and 143 of them became the winners. Mehr Nuri issued grants for 156 million soums.

Mehr Nuri Foundation was founded in July 2004 and it renders material and financial aid to small and medium business, family and women business.
