Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Agency for Strategic Reforms (ASR) held meetings on energy security issues with representatives of UzAssystem and S&P Global.

The first meeting was attended by First Deputy Director of ASR Abdulla Abdukadirov, General Manager of the UzAssystem JV company Nicholas Dugot, Business Development Manager N. Aisaeva and a representative of the parent French company Assystem SA Edgar Seeberger, as well as other representatives of ASR.

During the meeting, representatives of UzAssystem got acquainted with the goals and objectives facing the ASR in accordance with Presidential Decree No. PP-109 from 4 March 2024.

N. Dugot and E. Seeberger presented information on the activities and specialization of the French company “Assystem” and the joint venture “UzAssystem”. The French company is today recognized as one of the best consulting and engineering companies in the world.

According to representatives of UzAssystem, the company works in the fields of traditional and renewable energy, infrastructure and transport, accelerating the energy transition and developing decarbonized electricity.

At the second meeting, held between the first deputy director of ASR Abdulla Abdukadirov and the representative of S&P Global E. Akhmettaev, important areas of cooperation between the Agency and S&P Global in the preparation of analytical materials on the energy industry of Uzbekistan were identified.

Strategic issues such as ensuring energy security and industry development were actively discussed at the meeting. The parties agreed to joint efforts to increase the information transparency of the process of communicating about Uzbekistan’s potential in the field of energy.
