Uzbekistan 23/12/2008 Meeting in Uzbek north discusses religious extremism, missionary

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A seminar dedicated to religious extremism and consequences of missionary, which are threatening the world, has been held at the cultural centre of the Karakalpakstan State University named after Berdaq.

The seminar was attended by students of universities located in the town of Nukus, lecturers and professors. A representative of the directorate for religious affairs of the Uzbek Cabinet of Ministers, Shohruh Abdurasulov, an employer of the presidential office, Nurlan Abduhasan, and others delivered speech at the seminar.

They spoke about religious extremism, various sects and consequences of their activities, which are causing trouble to the world community today. They noted that main victims of these sects were naive and weak-willed young people, who were being brainwashed by schemers.

Malicious goals of such schemers were exposed by concrete facts and examples. During the seminar, video clips were shown on the fates of young people, who had fallen victims to such sects.
