Measures to ensure employment in mahallas and orderly organization of labor migration were discussed

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting on issues of ensuring employment in mahallas and orderly labor migration.

Guaranteeing employment and increasing incomes of the population are the most important directions of state policy. In this context, numerous socio-economic programs are being implemented and new projects are being launched. Ample opportunities for entrepreneurship and self-employment are being created.

Under the leadership of the head of our state, the experience of providing employment and increasing the income of the population, applied in Saykhunabad, is being introduced in all regions.

Responsible persons presented a report on the progress of work in districts and mahallas.

It was noted that for each mahalla, heads of economic complex organizations have been appointed who are engaged in targeted work with low-income citizens and help increase family incomes. For this purpose, cheap loans, subsidies and benefits are provided. Together with specialists from the agricultural complex, profitable crops are grown on household plots of the population.

The President noted that this work is not carried out at the proper level everywhere. At present, the main source of employment and income for the population should be the mobilization of internal resources.

One of the important tasks is to organize safe labor migration of citizens abroad and ensure employment of returning migrants. In this regard, the activities of the External Labor Migration Agency under the Ministry of Employment are being reformed. The principle “work abroad begins with the mahalla” is being implemented in all regions.

Citizens who do not have sufficient qualifications will be provided with additional education so that they can qualify in accordance with the requirements of foreign employers. It is planned to send 150 thousand people abroad to high-income countries.

Particular attention will be paid to citizens returning from abroad. Based on their work experience in Saykhunabad, they will be provided with organizational and financial assistance for growing products on their own plots and starting a business.

The head of state gave additional instructions to improve the quality of service to citizens and increase the level of employment.

The need to create a unified information platform on migration and its integration with the Mahalla Seven system, as well as providing assistance to our compatriots who find themselves in difficult situations abroad, was again emphasized.
