Measures for further socio-economic development of a number of districts of Tashkent were discussed

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 28 November 2020, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjaev held a videoconference meeting in the khokimiyat of Shaykhantakhur district of Tashkent to discuss the current state and measures for further social and economic development of a number of districts of the capital.

The meeting was attended by heads of ministries, departments, industry associations, as well as heads of local authorities of Yashnabad, Bektemir, Chilanzar, Mirzo Ulugbek, Shaykhantakhur and Yunusabad districts, included in the working groups assigned to these districts.

During the meeting, the reports of the responsible leaders of the Working Groups on the work carried out to study the current state of the socio-economic development of the districts in 10 areas, identified problematic issues and measures taken to promptly resolve them were heard.

In particular, according to the results of a study conducted in 6 districts of Tashkent, 2721 problematic issues were identified, 1819 of which were resolved directly on the ground. For the remaining 903 issues, an instruction was given to develop "Road maps" for each district, indicating specific measures, responsible executors and deadlines for implementation.

The importance of studying, identifying and resolving issues, providing support measures to entrepreneurs in order to further expand the base of industrial production, increase export volumes, create new jobs, in general, increase incomes and improve the living standards of the population was emphasized.

Based on the results of the meeting, the heads of the working groups were tasked to submit detailed reports on the implementation of each item of the Roadmaps on a weekly basis with their consideration at meetings of the Government Commission on Foreign Trade, Investments, Development of Local Industry and Technical Regulation.
