The event is organized by Japan Embassy in Uzbekistan in cooperation with the Uzbekistan-Japan Center for human development, Tashkent Textile and Light Industry Institute, Samarkand Light Industry Professional College.

Participants will get acquainted with traditional technique of tie dying and can dye the fabric. Shibori (Shiborizome) is a Japanese term for several methods of dyeing cloth with a pattern by binding, stitching, folding, twisting, or compressing it. Some of these methods are known tie-dye.

The events will take place at the Tashkent Textile and Light Industry Institute on 25 September, Samarkand Light Industry Professional College on 28 September and the Uzbekistan-Japan Center for human development on 20 September.
