Mansur Gaziyev appointed as head of Public Security Service of Andijan region police department
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Mansur Gaziyev has been appointed Deputy Head of the Internal Affairs Department of Andijan Region and Head of the Public Security Service, according to Kun.uz.
Prior to this new appointment, Gaziyev served as the Head of the Road Traffic Safety Department of the Namangan Region Police Department. According to sources, he assumed his new duties two days ago.
He gained widespread public attention following a media-covered incident involving a correspondence with the hokim (mayor) of Namangan, Anvar Otakhojaev, regarding the installation of speed radars that did not meet regulatory standards. The city administration had issued an official letter demanding the removal of the devices, which had sparked public dissatisfaction.
In his official response, Gaziyev pointed out that the hokimiyat’s service vehicle had committed 47 traffic violations during 2024–2025.
