Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A man in Kashkadarya region beat a one-year-old girl to death, according to the press service of the General Prosecutor’s Office.

The tragedy occurred on 21 July in Karshi around noon.

The girl’s mother had left for Russia and hired a nanny in April 2024 to care for her daughter. In May, a friend of the mother contacted her by phone and informed her that the nanny was not performing her duties properly, suggesting that she take the child into her own care.

On 20 July, the girl was brought to the friend’s home and left under the care of the friend’s 23-year-old husband.

Later, the man brutally beat the girl to death, delivering multiple punches to her chest because she had wet herself.
