Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A 25-year-old resident of Kasan district of Kashkadarya region A.A. applied to the internal affairs bodies, who in a statement indicated that in the Telegram messenger, he received a message stating that he won the money, then he asked to follow the link and enter his data, which the victim did. 

As it turned out later, a total of 3,600,000 soums were withdrawn from his bank card. This was reported by the Cyber Security Center of the Operational Investigative Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

As a result of the operational-search activities carried out by the cybersecurity units of the Operative-Investigative Service, the involvement in the commission of the crime was established. The crime was committed by A.T., a 23-year-old resident of Yangiyul district of Tashkent region and he was detained.

It was established that A.T., who was involved in investigative actions as a suspect, in the Telegram messenger, by sending a message: “You became the owner of a prize, won money”, tried to interest and sought to communicate the secret code of bank cards of citizens, and then stole the funds available in them.

According to the law, for the criminal acts of A.T. paragraph "b" of part 3 of article 169 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of 5 to 8 years.
