As earlier reported, Foreign Minister will be accompanied by his wife and Senior Officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia.

This will be the first official visit by Y.B. Foreign Minister to Uzbekistan. It will help enhance and reinvigorate the existing bilateral relations between Malaysia and Uzbekistan, the ministry said earlier.

It will also help to establish closer rapport with the leadership of Uzbekistan and generate positive momentum to increase cooperation in various fields, the ministry underlined.

During the visit to Uzbekistan, Malaysian Foreign Minister Datuk Sri Anifah Hj Aman will make a courtesy call on Uzbek President Islam Karimov and meet with Vladimir Norov, Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan to discuss new initiatives to strengthen relations between the two countries.
