Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A new head of the healthcare department for Jizzakh region has been appointed.

According to a relevant order from the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan, Makhmarasul Umarov has been appointed as the head of the healthcare department for Jizzakh region.

Makhmarasul Umarov graduated from the Tashkent State Medical Institute in 1992.

Throughout his career, he has worked as an epidemiologist at the Syrdarya Regional Center for Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision, served as deputy director and director of a medical college in the Dustlik district, worked as an epidemiologist at the Republican Center for State Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision, and held several other responsible positions.

An experienced specialist, he previously served as the head of the department of the Committee for Sanitary and Epidemiological Well-Being and Public Health in the Jizzakh region before his appointment.
