Major Water Pipeline Bursts on Farabi Street in Tashkent
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 10 July, at approximately 11:00 AM, a high-pressure water pipeline with a diameter of 800 mm ruptured in the Shaykhantakhur district of Tashkent, according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan.
The incident occurred on Farabi Street. Preliminary reports indicate that the surrounding area was flooded as a result of the rupture. Fire and rescue teams were quickly dispatched to the scene and immediately began work to contain the situation.
As of now, no casualties have been reported.
