LUKOIL announces tender on development of Khauzak site
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- LUKOIL Uzbekistan Operating Company announced a tender on construction and assemblage work on the object “The Second turn of development and modernization of Khauzak site of Dengizkul deposit”.

Both foreign and local legal entities, which have experience in similar projects, can participate in the tender.

According to tender conditions, the tender applications should be submitted till 2 November 2012.

Kandym – Khauzak-Shady – Kungrad project is implemented by LUKOIL Oil Company (Russia) with direct involvement of Uzbekneftegaz National Holding Company under Production Sharing Agreement (PSA) signed in 2004. The project is implemented by operating company LUKOIL Uzbekistan Operating Company LLC, formed the same year.

Khauzak gas field in Bukhara region was put into operation in 2007. Design level of gas production, 3 billion cubic meters per year, was achieved in November 2008. It is planned to increase level of continuous production up to 4 billion cubic meters per year in 2012. In November 2011 first start-up complex was put into operation in West part of Shady block.

The largest asset within the project is development of Kandym Group of Fields, comprising 6 gas condensate fields with design level of annual production of 8 billion cubic meters. Developing Kandym Group fields, the company is going to construct gas processing plant and up-to-date utilities and transport infrastructure along with production facilities.

At present production drilling and temporary facilities construction are under way at Kandym. Contract for development of Feasibility Study and detailed design documents is concluded with Hyundai Engineering Co.

Investments under Kandym – Khauzak-Shady project are estimated to exceed US$4 billion.
