Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko stated that Uzbekistan has become a stronghold for Belarus in Central Asia.

“We are watching with great interest the transformations that are taking place in Uzbekistan. The only thing you need is time. Quite a lot was missed in its time. You have to catch up, and this is not easy,” said Alexander Lukashenko at talks with Shavkat Mirziyoyev in an expanded format, BELTA reports.

“We are pleased that our fraternal republic - Uzbekistan - is developing intensively. But we are interested in the development of Uzbekistan, because we took your country as a basis in Central Asia.”
