Luba Sohn Holding is ready to invest in the construction of a plant for the production of polystyrene foam blocks in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Poland Bakhrom Babayev met with the head of the Polish company Luba Sohn Holding Krzysztof Slaby to discuss issues of establishing investment cooperation within the framework of a project to build a plant in our country for the production of polystyrene foam blocks (foam panels) and components for thermal modernization of residential buildings, buildings and industrial buildings, Dunyo news agency reported.

A Polish company has already studied the issue of needs for expanded polystyrene for the construction industry of Uzbekistan. Its director noted that polystyrene foam is a modern environmentally friendly and durable building material that provides excellent thermal insulation and fire safety. Its service life is more than 40 years.

One of the areas of using polystyrene foam blocks is thermal modernization - insulating houses with foam plastic with a thickness of 50 to 200 mm, which can reduce heat loss several times, significantly save energy consumption, and reduce energy consumption costs by 35-40%. For example, in Poland, issues of thermal modernization were taken up back in the 90s, and today 90% of all buildings are insulated with foam plastic.

The envisaged volume of investments will be about US$7-10 million. Production can provide 300-400 jobs. It is expected that the plant will produce 300,000 cubic meters of foam panels with a thickness of 30 to 200 mm per year, and in the future also the corresponding components - meshes, glue, foundation bolts, hooks, acrylic plaster, antifungal and hydrophobic preparations.

It is assumed that the plant will be built on an area of 5 hectares, on which production workshops, a logistics center, a laboratory, finished product warehouses, etc. will be located.

The Polish side was provided with detailed information about the investment opportunities of Uzbekistan, the availability of benefits and preferences for foreign investors, the activities of free economic and small industrial zones in the regions of the country.

It was agreed that the Embassy will organize a video conference with the participation of senior officials and specialists from Luba Sohn Holding and Uzstroymaterialy to discuss practical issues related to investment.
