London-2012: Abbos Atoev wins second medal for Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Two time world champion Abbos Atoev of Uzbekistan advanced to semifinal of boxing tournament of Olympic Games in London in weight category of 75 kg and won at least bronze medal for the Central Asian nation.

In quarterfinals, Abbos Atoev defeated Vejender of India with the score 17-13. The first round ended with a 3-3 draw.

Abbos Atoev won the second and the third rounds of the bout with the same scoreline 7-5.

Currently, Uzbekistan has only one medal of London Games. Judoka Rishod Sobirov won a bronze medal in weight category of 60 kg.
