It was noted that adopted systematic and targeted measures on implementation of programme on social-economic development of Uzbekistan for 2011 ensured sustainable growth and macroeconomic stability in the first half of 2011.

State Budget in the reporting period was executed in line with the parameters, set by the parliament.

The growth of gross domestic product made up 8% in the first half of 2011. Inflation rate did not exceed forecast parameters. Economic growth is ensured due to increase of industrial output, agriculture production, retail trade turnover and services.

Chemical industry, petrochemical industry, light industry, food industry, machinery and metal processing developed dynamically. The country increased production of competitive goods with high value added cost and export of these goods increased. The country recorded significant foreign trade surplus.

Participants also underlined importance of implementation of the programme on creation of new jobs and population employment. It was said that it helped to create 520,200 new jobs, including 352,600 in rural areas.

Participants underlined that execution of the state budget has firm social direction and it timely financed expenses on education, healthcare and social welfare of population.

The committee adopted a corresponding decision at the end of the session.
