Legislative Chamber passes several draft laws
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan held its session on 14 July 2011, the press service of lower house of the Uzbek parliament said.

MPs considered a draft law “On introduction of changes and amendments to Law “On railway transport”, directed at ensuring security of railway transportation.

The document was developed to improve national security system of railway transport infrastructure, prevent emergency situations, creating threat to life and health of people, public security and stability.

The draft law offers to set special order of passenger inspection and staying of people at stations and platforms to prevent terrorism and other illegal acts, strengthen protection of public order in places with large crowd, and prevent carrying dangerous and explosives to stations.

MPs passed the law in the second reading after detailed discussion. The responsible committee was ordered to prepare document for third reading.

MPs reviewed a draft law “On introduction of changes to article 175 of Family Code of Uzbekistan and article 18 of the Law “On realtor activity”, which was developed due to creation of regional (city) departments of methodical maintenance and organization of establishments of public education.

The draft law “On introduction of changes and amendments to Law “On telecommunication” was considered. The document introduces changes directed at clarifying authority of authorized bodies of telecommunication sector in connection with adoption of the law “On technical regulation”.

MPs also discussed law “On introduction of changes and amendments to Law “On companies with limited and additional liabilities”, which was developed in line with the presidential resolution “On measures for further improvement of order of organization and state registration of entrepreneurial entities”. The document offers to decrease minimal requirement to charter capital of newly created companies with limited and additional liabilities from 50 size of minimum salary to 40, which should create favorable conditions for organization of businesses. MPs considered all draft laws and made proposals on their improvement. After discussions, the laws were passed in the first reading.
