The law sets state policy, jurisdiction of Cabinet of Ministers and state bodies in the sphere of micronutrient insufficiency among population, the press service of lower house of the Uzbek parliament said.

Micronutrients are food nutrients (vitamins and minerals), which are needed for normal growth and development of human.

During the discussions, MPs noted that the law will allow to improve health of mothers and children and harmonious development of the young generation.

The press service said MPs clarified some articles of the Law and introduced changes to some norms. The parliamentarians passed the law, which will be directed to Senate of the Oliy Majlis for approval.
