Committee on budget and economic reforms of the Legislative Chamber and the State Property Committee of Uzbekistan organized the seminar.

Heads and specialists of ministries and departments, scholars, representatives of businesses and mass media participated at the seminar.

The seminar said that the draft project “On protection of ownership and guaranteeing rights of proprietors” should ensure implementation of rights of proprietors to own, use and handle property independently, protect property, receive full compensation at alienation of property, as well as set real guarantees for protecting and restoration of their rights.

It was underlined that adaptation of the law will help to create favourable conditions for effective functioning of private property in economy and stimulate entrepreneurship activity and initiates of proprietors, as well as help to improve well-being of public and the state.

During the seminar, the participants developed proposals and recommendations on improving draft law, which will be handed over to the working group.
