MPs, representatives of Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan, Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare, Women’s Committee and others participated at the session.

Currently, Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan has 11 industrial unions, 14 territorial professional unions, 12 regional and 668 district unions, 49 united committees, which has 33,500 primary organizations. Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan unites almost 6 million people and conducts works on protection of social-economic interests of the citizens.

General agreement on social-economic issues for 2011-2013, signed by the Cabinet of Ministers, Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, determines over 10 additional preferences, directed at protection youth, families of workers.

In 2012, in line with labour agreements and contracts with families of the workers, social aids for 17.291 billion soums were rendered. Some 2,060 jobs were created due to organization of enterprises with the help of the Federation and sponsors.

About 20,000 graduates of colleges and 2,000 graduates, who graduated with excellence, received financial aid.

Over 534,000 children of various age visited summer rehabilitation camps in 2011-2012, the session noted.

The session discussed other issues on protection of interest of employees and adherence to the laws of Uzbekistan.
