Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  The Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan has approved the draft state budget for 2025, according to the press service of the lower house of parliament.

According to the draft law, Uzbekistan’s budget expenditures for the next year will total 345 trillion soums. Of this amount, 178 trillion soums will be allocated to social policy, including poverty reduction, employment promotion, and support for vulnerable groups of the population.

During the discussion of the draft law, deputies addressed over 100 issues and made ten conceptual proposals.

For example, an additional 40 billion soums will be allocated for the production of documentary films about Uzbekistan’s heritage and the support of creative teams.

Another 100 billion soums will be directed toward a greening program. The Institute of System Development will receive 10.6 billion soums.

Following the discussions, the deputies of the lower house approved the bill and sent it to the Senate for further consideration.
