Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 28 June, a telephone conversation took place between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

The heads of state warmly congratulated each other and the fraternal peoples of the two countries on the holy holiday of Qurban Hayit, expressing sincere wishes for peace, well-being, and prosperity.

Current issues of further enhancing multifaceted cooperation and strengthening comprehensive strategic partnership were discussed.

The high dynamics and fruitful nature of practical interaction in the political, trade-economic, investment, and cultural-humanitarian spheres in accordance with the agreements at the highest level were noted.

The active implementation of major investment projects with the participation of leading Turkish companies continues in Uzbekistan. About 100 new joint ventures have been created since the beginning of the year.

The Intergovernmental Agreement on Preferential Trade enters into force on July 1 this year, further increasing the volume of mutual trade. The frequency of flights between the cities of the two countries is growing.

During the conversation, the parties also exchanged views on the current issues of international and regional agenda.

The schedule of the upcoming events at the highest level was considered. The importance of carefully preparing the agenda of the next meeting of the top-level Strategic Cooperation Council of Uzbekistan and Türkiye was emphasized.
